What is Scentsy – How does it work?

Let me explain a bit, because to those that aren’t familiar with a wickless candle, it can be quite confusing. How can a candle be wickless, right? I got you covered – Here’s how it works:

First of all, there are three types of Scentsy candle warmers that we sell.

1. Full Size Warmer:  Sits on your counter top or table and uses a lamp like cord that plugs into the outlet. On this cord, there’s a toggle switch that turns the warmer on or off. These full size warmers are larger than the other two and are great for open areas, such as a living room or dining room area. I also have these in the bedrooms, because I like a strong candle smell. There are two categories in which we sell these warmers. There’s a premium warmer line and a regular warmer line.  The premium warmers are $5 more than the Regular line because of the materials and embellishments that went into creating the product.The large warmers are 4.5 inches wide x 6 inches tall. These full size warmers use a 25watt bulb to warm the wax.
2. Then, we have our Mid-Size Candle warmers.  Same type of lamp like cord with a switch that you plugin to the outlet, however, these candle warmers are a bit smaller at 4 inches wide x 5 inches tall.  They are excellent for smaller rooms, such as a home office, a bedroom or a child’s room. (remember, the wax is not hot and will not burn).  These mid-size warmers use a 20watt light bulb to warm the highly scented wax.
3. We also have the Plugin Warmers.  These Plugins are 3 x 3.5 inches (without the plug). Plugins are great for kitchen areas, bathrooms or anywhere up higher than the floor outlets.  You only need one cube of the highly scented wax in one of these smaller versions. There’s no cord, but there is an on / off switch directly on the plugin base. The plugins use a 15 watt light bulb to warm the wax.

No matter what size of candle warmer you purchase, they all use the same scentsy wax cubes.  These wax cubes come in a clamshell case and there are eight to a package. The clamshell wax cube package is called a candle Bar.  Everyone asks, “how long will one bar last?”  It really depends on the area that your warming the scent and the airflow in that area. I use two cubes in my large warmer and it will last me at least 4 days in my office, where the window is not usually open and it’s a bedroom size room.  The living room warmer wax will last me about 3 days.

I keep my warmers on 24/7, as well. So, if you turn them off at night or even after a few hours, your scent will last longer, of course.  The only thing that is released in the air, is the scent, the wax stays in the top dish of your Scentsy warmer. When you no longer smell your scent, you can either take a paper towel to wipe out the wax and toss it or you can pour it back in the empty slots in your container.

The hardest part is to get people to say our name correctly -It’s not Sensi, Centsy, Sensey, or Scensey, or even Sensie, it’s the word SCENT, then S-Y and there you have it!  Scentsy! We all know what you mean though, so even if you say our name wrong, we’re here to help you find the products that make you happy! There are over 80 candle scents that come in clam shell cases and contain 8 cubes, you warm these wax cubes instead of burning the wax. The warmer (pot) has a dish on top that you place the cubes in and it slowly begins to melt. You can buy online through a Consultant, the warmers and scents not sold in stores.
